The path to personal and professional development is a leadership journey. Leaders are built not from consistent success, but from the ups and downs that life throws at them as they seize the moment and grasp mature ways to handle, work through, follow through and rise again.

I listened to the song “Everybody Hurts” this morning and I thoroughly listened to the lyrics. While this song became popular during my youth and I listened to it hundreds of times in addition to watching the MTV videos, it takes on a new meaning now at 42 years old in 2021.

“When you’re sure you’ve had enough of this life, well hang on…”

We are all hurting in some way, shape, or form. And then there are times when we’re on top of the mountain, whether that’s in love, receiving a promotion, getting the job, winning the lottery (hey, it happens), getting married, having your first child, launching a business, writing a book or whatever dreams and goals you desire.

Everything comes with a price to pay and what is the price you are willing to give for your aspirations?

The past several years have given rise to a performance coaching career for me and I’m so thankful to be where I am. I spent the last three decades building a coaching program alongside of playing a superior role as a marketing consultant. This new division of my company has grown because I created it from scratch. It’s authentic, raw and real. No cookie cutter program, no boring “normal” therapy sessions. What I’ve created is from my heart.

I was a reactor in my past. I know love, entrepreneurship, sales, marketing, failure, falling, corporate… I’ve seen it all and I have this amazingly talented natural gift of leading and giving professional advice. I’ve been an entrepreneur for 16 years and a sales and marketing expert for over 20. Leadership is in my blood. It’s what I live for; it’s my passion to help people and I’m really good at it.

When I listened to the song “Everybody Hurts” this morning, I thought of the state of the world, the division we’ve been taught to “believe in” by the media, the cognitive dissonance taking place, and the massive amounts of small business owners in debt, scared… as well as the business professionals who have lost their jobs or for any of us who feel lost, on edge and are waiting for answers. Yet I know that there are so many of us filled with dreams and hopes for what can be a great life on this planet.

I suffered a tragic loss in 2020. I suffered financial loss. I know what it’s like to use the ground to push off. I know what it’s like to believe in myself and to invest when there’s little there, but the belief… the belief in yourself must return.

I want to share this song with my fellow peers. Blast it. Turn it up. Make it known that while we are all hurting, we are NOT alone. I am here for you if you need me.

I offer an intense four-month empowerment coaching program that leads to success from financials to life changing decisions being made, to new communication patterns developed and old ways broken down to find the freedom in your soul, www.thekindcommunicator.com.

And while the song “Everybody Hurts” sounds sad, I see it as a connector. I see it as a way for us to all know that we will get through anything, but we must know that we’re all connected, we are not as separate as we think and I pray and hope that anyone out there who feels broken and is tired of sitting in their stories in their head knows this: I will be there for you. Let’s find a way.

Let’s set up a virtual coffee. Sign up here.

Play this song first and write down the first 10 things that you feel that are wrong or broken or not going your way in life. Then add your top 10 goals for 2021. Let’s make this path on earth a ride we’ll never forget and let’s do It together. I got you. While we all hurt, we have hands to hold. Use mine to lift back up.
